Weddings at Excel
In these hills, a wedding is not an event — it is a blessing witnessed by the river, the forest and everyone who loves you.
Shubh Vivah
There is a reason our elders sought the Himalayas for auspicious beginnings. The air here is still. The Kosi keeps its own rhythm. When the pandit begins the mantras and the fire is lit, the forest seems to lean in and listen.
We build the mandap where the lawn meets the water. Haldi is smeared on forest lawns in the morning sun, mehendi is applied in shaded courtyards, and the baraat arrives down a long avenue of sal trees with the dhol echoing off the hills.
Two families arrive as guests and leave as one household. Our job is quiet and constant — to hold every ritual, every relative and every meal with care, so your family can simply be present.

Long tree-lined approaches with dhol, horses and space for the baraat to take its own sweet time.
A Family's Words
“We had three hundred relatives, four functions and one very nervous mother. By the second morning the staff knew which uncle took his tea without sugar. The pheras happened at sunrise by the river — nobody in our family has stopped talking about it since.”
