Welcome to Excel Hotels & Resorts. These Terms & Conditions are meant to govern the use of our website, booking services, accommodation service, event service and other services offered by Excel Hotels & Resorts on its properties.
You are required to read and accept these Terms & Conditions before using our Website, making a reservation, making an enquiry or by sleeping in any hotel or resort run by Excel.
1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions are applicable to all bookings and services booked directly with Excel Hotels & Resorts, whether so booked through our website or by telephone, email, WhatsApp or any other authorised booking channels.
The terms and conditions of the respective booking platform may also apply for bookings made via third party travel platforms and online travel agencies (OTAs) or through other booking partners.
Should there be a difference between the terms of a third party booking site versus the hotel's direct terms, the terms of the booking site's channel and rate plan the guest chooses will prevail.
2. Reservations & Booking
A reservation is confirmed once the relevant booking conditions are met and a confirmation is sent via the relevant booking channel.
The Guest(s) shall furnish the information as follows at the time of booking:
- Guest name
- Contact details
- Check-in and check-out dates
- Number of adults and children
- Room requirements
- Special requests
- Event or wedding requirements, where applicable
The hotel may call customers to confirm reservations or confirm specific needs.
Special requests can be made, but may not be guaranteed unless confirmed by the hotel.
3. Rates, Taxes & Charges
Room rates, packages, inclusions, taxes and applicable charges may vary depending on:
- Property
- Room category
- Date of stay
- Season
- Occupancy
- Meal plan
- Promotional offer
- Booking channel
- Special event or festive period
The final amount payable will be given at the booking process or on the relevant booking confirmation.
Where applicable, government taxes/statutory charges may be payable in addition to the room rate displayed.
If they are available, any additional service or facilities will be explained to the guests, if applicable.
4. Service Charges
If any service charge is applicable, it will be dealt with in line with the applicable consumer-protection requirements and the hotel's prevailing policy.
Any service charge must be lawfully applicable and communicated to the guest, and is not required to be mandatory or automatic.
5. Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in and check-out hours may be different for each property and will be provided in the booking confirmation.
Visitors are able to make special requests to check in or check out earlier or later than usual in advance.
Early check-in/late check-out is possible, but may be subject to extra fees if available.
6. Guest Identification
To ensure legal compliance, identification will be required at check-in as per laws, regulations and hotel procedure.
Foreign nationals may need to submit extra documents as per the relevant documentation norms of the Indian immigration and registration regulations.
It is the responsibility of the guest to provide correct information with check-in.
7. Occupancy & Additional Guests
The maximum occupancy in the selected room category will apply in each room.
Beds and similar occupancy needs as well as additional guests and children may be subject to availability and charges.
The guests must give accurate details of the occupancy when booking their rooms.
8. Children
Children are welcome at Excel Hotels & Resorts, with occupancy rules and policies enforced depending on the hotel and room type.
Additional fees, conditions of the child's stay, meal charges etc. may vary from property to property and booking plan to booking plan.
The number and approximate age of children should be given at the time of booking if the room is to be occupied by children.
9. Payments
Payment may vary based on the rate plan, booking channel and the reservation terms.
Full or partial payment may be required prior to arrival.
Some properties and booking systems may not offer all these payment options.
If the necessary payment is not made during the period of payment indicated at the time of the booking, the booking will be cancelled or released.
10. Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms will vary by rate plan, booking channel, property and type of booking.
Guest should check the relevant Cancellation & Refund Policy and booking confirmation before cancelling or changing their reservation.
Promotional, group, wedding and event bookings are non-refundable and may have different cancellation procedures.
11. Changes to Reservations
Changing booking dates, room categories, booking occupancy and/ or other booking details are subject to availability and the conditions applicable to the booking.
The room rate and/or fees may be changed if a room is changed to a reservation.
Prior to making a request where a modification is needed, guests are asked to contact the hotel or the relevant booking platform as early as possible.
12. No-Show & Early Departure
Guests may be considered "no shows" if they do not show up for a confirmed reservation, as per the booking agreement.
No refunds will be given for early departure. Refund/Adjustment will be determined by the cancellation condition and rate(s).
13. Property Rules
Responsible and courteous behavior are expected while on the premises.
Guest(s) are responsible for adhering with reasonable property rules concerning:
- Guest safety
- Noise and disturbance
- Smoking
- Alcohol consumption
- Swimming pool use
- Recreational facilities
- Fire and emergency procedures
- Use of common areas
- Damage prevention
- Respect for other guests and hotel staff
The hotel may take appropriate action where guest behaviour creates a safety risk, significant disturbance or damage to property.
14. Smoking
Smoking is acceptable in designated areas as per property rules.
Guest smoking restrictions and law shall be followed.
15. Alcohol
Applicable law and licensing requirements, and the rules of the individual property, apply to alcohol and alcohol service.
All Alcohol related instructions from the hotel must be observed by the guests, including the areas for alcohol service and service allowed.
Alcohol provisions may be different for weddings and events.
16. Damage to Hotel Property
The guest is liable for loss or damage to hotel property, hotel rooms, hotel furnishings, hotel equipment or hotel facilities beyond reasonable use and wear.
If damage to property occurs, the hotel reserves the right to recover reasonable costs of repairing or replacing the property, if applicable.
Guests are also responsible for any damages caused by part of their group and/or accompanying persons.
17. Loss of Personal Belongings
It is the responsibility of all guests to take reasonable care to ensure that their own property is properly cared for during their stay.
The property should have facilities for the safekeeping of valuables, which should be used for this purpose.
Any lost or damaged property should be reported to the hotel staff as soon as it is discovered.
18. Safety & Emergency Procedures
The guest is responsible for observing the rules of the hotel and swimming pool and for adhering to the safety regulations of the hotel staff as well as to the rules applicable for swimming pools, recreation areas, outdoor activities and other facilities.
Visitors should not enter the restricted areas or obstruct safety equipment.
Children will continue to be supervised by parents/guardians.
19. Facilities & Services
Hotel facilities, activities and services may be subject to:
- Availability
- Weather conditions
- Maintenance
- Seasonal operation
- Government restrictions
- Safety requirements
- Operational requirements
The availability of a facility shown on the website should not be interpreted as a guarantee that the facility will be available at every time during a guest's stay.
20. Website Information
Excel Hotels & Resorts strives to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on its website.
The information and photos of the rooms are for information purposes and may differ from one property to the other, room category and individual room.
The hotel is not responsible for typographical, pricing or descriptive errors where they are present and will correct such errors as required.
21. Third-Party Websites & Booking Platforms
Excel Hotels & Resorts may contain links to third party websites, platforms, services, payers and providers of activities.
The privacy policies and conditions of use of third-party websites are independent of the conditions of use of this website.
It is the guest's responsibility to check the third party conditions before transacting through an external platform.
22. Force Majeure
Occurrence of any failure or delay in providing services shall not be attributed to Excel Hotels & Resorts where failure is due to a circumstance which is outside the reasonable control of the hotel.
This may be a natural disaster, extreme weather, government restrictions, public emergency, civil disturbances, transportation disruption, or any other event or occurrence that significantly impacts a hotel's business.
In this case any cancellation, refund or re-routing will be as per booking terms, and the circumstances of the event.
23. Events & Weddings
Marriage, conference, corporate and social bookings and other events could be subject to a separate event agreement.
An event agreement may have further provisions concerning:
- Payment schedules
- Venue usage
- Guest numbers
- Catering
- Décor
- Vendors
- Entertainment
- Cancellation
- Postponement
- Damages
- Additional services
If an event agreement has been signed, then the terms of the agreement will have application to the event.
24. Privacy
Personal information collected at booking, enquiry and/or during stay will be treated in accordance with the Excel Hotels & Resorts Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy describes the collection, use, storage and sharing of personal data.
25. Complaints & Guest Assistance
It is recommended that guests inform the staff of the hotel as soon as possible if there is any problem while staying at the hotel.
Where the hotel has a concern about the service, it will take reasonable steps to understand and respond to the issue.
Guest must supply their hotel bookings when they call the hotel regarding bookings related issues.
26. Policy Updates
These Terms & Conditions may be amended from time to time, as changes may occur in the operation, law or regulation under which Excel Hotels & Resorts is operating.
The revised version will be made available on the website at the revised date.
